Montjuic Cablecar

from £0 per person

Hop on board the Montjuïc cable car and enjoy breathtaking views of the city and the sea from the castle. With brand-new cabins that can seat up to eight people, this is the ideal way to enjoy Barcelona’s green lung with the family.

Come to Montjuïc, Barcelona’s most historic mountain, and enjoy panoramic views from the castle where you’ll be able to view the sea like the Iberians did, discover the history of Mount Jupiter and find out about the development of the fort which stands more than 170 metres above sea level right by the port.

If you take the funicular at Paral·lel metro station, it leaves you at the first Montjuïc cable car station which is the best way to get to the top of the mountain while you enjoy the views and relax as you glide above the tree tops.

The Telefèric de Montjuïc has three stations: Parc Montjuïc, The Montjuïc Castle and Mirador de l'Alcalde. From each of these stations you can visit many places of interest (See Tabs).

The cabins are fully adapted for passengers with reduced mobility and have eight comfortable seats so you can come with all the family. Don’t wait any further and plan your trip to Montjuïc!

Parc Monjuic station is located right next to the upper station of the Montjuïc Funicular that departs from the Paral·lel. From this station you can visit the main cultural interests in the hill of Montjuïc like the Fundació Miró, the Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya, the Poble Espanyol or the Museu Etnològic.

You can also experience the essence of the Barcelona '92 Olympic Games, the area of the Olympic Ring and the Olympic and Sports Museum.

Mirador de L'Alcade Station - From this station you can visit the Mirador de l'Alcalde, a beautiful landscaped terrace with exceptional views to the Port of Barcelona.

You also have the Mossèn Costa i Llobera Gardens close by, a garden facing the sea and protected by Montjuïc hill, which specializes in cactus and succulent plants and is one of the most important in Europe.

Monjuic Castell - The Montjuïc Castle is an old military fortress built on top of Montjuïc hill that dates back to 1640.

Currently, the castle has begun a new chapter in its long history. Cultural activities are carried out in it and all the great heritage values the castle holds are being recovered.
